The Shepherd's Diet Review

Kristina Wilds, the author of the Shepherd's Diet, is a Certified Personal Trainer.  The diet is a result of her helping her deceased husband, Jack. with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease).  Shortly after being diagnosed with ALS, her husband began to gain weight.  Her weight loss efforts were not working, in fact, they seemed to be hurting.

Kristina says she turned to the Bible for help.   Her Biblical research revealed a pattern for weight loss, which became the basis for her book.  The basis of her diet is fat burning.  The diet is also known as the Biblical Belly Fat Break Through

The diet is a combination of 5 books.

Book 1:  The Shepherd's Diet
Book 2:  Fat Burning Nutrients Report
Book 3:  Moses Secret Fat Loss Protocol
Book 4:  What Would Jesus Eat Grocery Guide
Book 5:  Prayer Warrior Anti Stress Guide

Book 1:  The Shepherd's Diet follows a seven step plan based on fruits and vegetables.  It encourages you to eat smaller meals but more of them.  This strategy helps optimize metabolism.

Book 2:  Fat Burning Nutrients Report teaches you how to you to focus on foods that help you to burn fat.  The main goal of the diet is to burn as much fat as possible.

Book 3:  Moses Secret Fat Loss Protocol reveals some of the methods that Moses used to quickly burn fat.

Since Book 4 is based on the foods that Jesus would eat, the eating lifestyle is centered on how people ate about 2,000 years ago.  I think of it as being between a Paleo Diet and a Mediterranean Diet.  Paleo is base on how cavemen ate and the Mediterranean is based on how people in Southern Europe ate in the 1940's and 50's.

All of these 3 diets exclude man made fats and we should listen.  A good rule for fat is that if nature makes it, it is probably a good fat, if man makes it, it is a bad fat.

Book 5:  Prayer Warrior Anti Stress Guide is an effort to relieve and reduce stress.  Stress is considered a major cause of over eating, so lower stress makes dieting easier.

Basing our eating habits on how Jesus ate or how people ate about 2000 years ago, has merit.  More fruits and vegetables, less meat, and less sugar and no man made foods or fats are sound ingredients for any diet.

Her diet is sponsored by an affiliate center called Clickbank (CB).   This is a plus for you.  For one thing, Clickbank does not tolerate scams or products with a high return rate, so purchasing through CB adds a certain amount of safety and dependability.  In addition, CB insists on a 60 day money back guarantee, which is enough time to try most products.  Most CB vendors use the money back guarantee as an incentive to try their product.

Trying a diet, regardless of a guarantee, is not your best choice. If this diet does not feel like it is a good fit, keep looking.  If it seems like a good fit, add it to your list.

Conclusion:

thumb up icon
I consider the Shepherd's Diet to be worth adding to your list of options, so I am giving it a thumbs up, but I do so with a WARNING.   Warning may be too harsh, but I want your attention.   The customer ratings for this diet are lower than I would expect, most people seem to love it or hate it.  I may be reading in more than I should, but I believe that the 60 day money back guarantee has enticed some people to try this diet when they should not have.

If you are too busy to plan and prepare meals, or if you are not at home in the kitchen, may be just a couple of reasons why this diet may be be a good fit for some.

On the other hand, if it does seem like it may be right for you, at least you can proceed with no risk.
