Robert Kushner, MD, is considered to be an obesity expert. He is the medical director for the Center For Lifestyle Medicine located at Northwestern University Medical Faculty Foundation in Chicago, Illinois. He and his wife Nancy, an RN, wrote the diet book.
How Does The Personality Type Diet Work?
You begin by answering 66 questions. These questions are primarily about your feelings towards food and eating and your eating habits and exercise.
Your answers will help you to determine what your personality type is. You may be a 'no time to exercise protester' or a 'night time nibbler'. One your personality is revealed, the diet book will help you with advice and tips for improving your exercise and eating habits. Each personality type has specific easy to follow suggestions and tips to help you to succeed. The diet is a 4 week plan that helps you to make lifestyle changes which allow you to continue the diet for long term weight loss. The diet is meant to be a lifetime program.

High fiber whole grains which will help you feel satisfied.
Produce
Colorful fruits and veggies. Healthy and more fiber to keep you feeling full.
Protein:
Lean fish and poultry and some red meat. Dairy is allowed, but non fat or low fat is preferred. Beans and cholesterol free egg substitutes or egg whites.
6 oz. baked salmon with fresh squeezed lemon and chopped dill
Directions:
Squeeze ½ lemon over salmon and sprinkle with fresh dill. Cook salmon in aluminum foil at 350 degrees until fish flakes easily with a fork, about 15 minutes.
Roasted Veggies:
Spray a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Place 5 spears of asparagus, 1 sliced yellow squash & 1 minced garlic clove in the dish and drizzle with 1 tsp olive oil. Bake with salmon, putting veggies in first for about 25-30 minutes or until easily pierced with a knife.

The Personality Type Diet has had successful trials at Northwestern Memorial Hospital's Wellness Institute in Chicago.
Yvette Quantz, RD, a sports and lifestyle nutritionist at Food Therapy, LLC in Lafayette, La. when asked about the negatives of this diet, "It's hard to come up with any negatives for this diet," says Quantz. "I guess if you are looking for a quick fix type of diet, or if you really don't have the time or inclination to shop and prepare meals at home, it could be hard for some people. Others just may not be ready for the effort it takes to change behaviors and lifestyle choices."
According to Everyday Health, "If you want a weight-loss program for a lifetime, the Personality Type Diet is a good place to start.
Only 14 reviews at Amazon at the the time of the post, but all are 5 stars. I searched for 'negatives' and 'complaints' and I am pleased to report that I came up empty.

Medium: This diet might be a bit easier and more effective than some diets, because it targets your food personality type.

About 30 years ago, I and my family were in a serious flash flood. A dam broke from rainfall of over 6"in a matter of hours. The water rose about 4 feet ABOVE the height of the ceiling of our apartment.
Somehow, almost immediately, the public auditorium was set up as a shelter and filled with beds, linens, towels, clothes and more...thank you Salvation Army.
In addition, bags loaded with needed toiletries such as tooth paste, tooth brush, razors, shaving cream and so on were available to all of us who were suddenly displaced flood victims. Thank you Red Cross.
