The PINK Method Diet/ P.I.N.K. Method Diet is based on 4 factors:

P represents Power
I means Intensity
N stands for Nutrition
K represents Kardio (cardio)

The  P.I.N.K. Method Diet was created by Cynthia Pasquella, a celebrity nutritionist, and is based in New York City. It is available as a DVD package.  The diet is flexible in that it can help you to lose as little as 10 pounds or over 100 pounds.

How does the P.I.N.K. Method Diet work?

This  diet is a low calorie diet. It has four stages.

Phase 1:  PINK Reset

This stage will vary from 3 days to 14 days.  This is a low calorie phase with your calorie intake about 1000 per day.  Carbs and alcohol are forbidden in this stage.  Stage 1 is meant to cleanse your body and to kick start your metabolism.

Phase 2:  PINK Primary.

In this stage, your work outs are introduced.  A lot of high intensity training is required.  This is the fat fighting stage which introduces high energy foods.  Your caloric intake will stay around 1600 calories.  When you near your goal weight, you will move to the next stage.

Phase 3:  The Seven Day Shred

This is a short phase in which you will eat mostly vegetable soup in an effort to shed those last few stubborn pounds.  You are discouraged from eating carbs and fats at this stage..

Phase 4:  PINK Preservation.

This is that last stage in which you will practice weight maintenance.  Your calorie intake will be 1400 to 1800 calories a day.

Each stage lasts about a week to three weeks in duration.  During each stage , you are required to follow the rules for that stage.

What can you eat?

The core of your diet is based on:
Veggies
Fruits
Light protein (salmon, chicken, turkey,  black beans, lentils)
High fiber carbs

One or two drinks of alcohol per week are allowed after the 9th week.
Caffeine is allowed in moderate amount
Organic foods are recommended.

Processed foods, packaged meals and refined sugars are NOT on the menu.

Exercise:

Exercise is an important part of the diet.  Exercise is required.  Exercise is laid out in 3 phases.  It combines cardio, sculpting and flexibility.  The fitness phases are by fitness experts Jenna Phillips, Lisa Christie and Basheerah Ahmad.

Phase 1 led by Jenna sets the groundwork for building a strong exercise base.

Phase 2 led by Lisa  increases your intensity and will push your cardio workouts to the next level.

Phase 3 led by Basheerah focuses on strength and endurance with the intent of  achieving maximum calorie burn.

Level of Difficulty:

High due to the exercise, the very low calorie start, and the soup phase.

Vegan or Vegetarian?

Yes, in fact,  Cynthia is a vegan, you can adapt this diet to either.

Does the diet work?

Although there are no clinical trials or studies that confirm that it work, the low calorie intake and intense exercise should help you to lose weight faster.

Positives:

Good nutrition
Exercise
Look and feel better
Workouts are adaptable to different needs
Nutrition and exercise guides are included
Reduce risks of obese diseases

Negatives:

Restrictive
Intense exercise

Meal planning
Meal preparation
Very little room to cheat
Eliminates certain foods
Phase 1 and Phase 3 are difficult
Only recommended for those with 'normal health'.

FYI:

You should always see your doctor or health care provider before making decisions that might affect your health.  Due to the exercise portion of this diet, seeing your doctor may be even more important.  This diet is not for women that are pregnant or nursing.  If you have health problems, heart problems, or physical problems, this diet may not before you.

Conclusion:

The diet is healthy and includes a fantastic workout plan.  You should not only lose weight, but you will probably lose it faster.  The difficulty of phase 1 and phase 3 and the difficulty of the exercise program are reasons that this diet may be too difficult for many. In addition, the diet has little wiggle room for cheating and may be hard for most people to stay on.  It is a good diet and exercise plan, so I will not give it a thumbs down, but due to the negatives, I do not give it a thumbs up either.  For most people, I do not believe that this diet will be a good fit, so I am not recommending that you add it to your list of weight loss options.

Thank you for reading, my friends. I wish you success on your weight loss journey.
