Eat What You Love, Love What You Eatis a diet by Dr. Michelle May.
Eat mindfully is the idea behind this diet. Mindful eating is eating when you are hungry and stopping when you are satisfied.
Eat What You Love is also a diet by Dr. Oz. On this page, you will find my review of Dr. May's Eat What You Love diet plan, click here for my review of Dr.Oz's plan.
How Does It Work?
The Eat What You Like Plan allows you to eat what you like, but in moderation. It aims your focus on healthier foods with less calories, less carbs, and more fiber. Dr. May, a yo yo dieter, invented this diet to help those of us that have trouble staying on a diet or with emotional eating. Emotional eating refers to mindless eating or eating due to stress, loneliness, anger, boredom, or other emotions rather than hunger.
Mindful eating: Dr. May wants you to ask yourself before you eat, "Am I really hungry?" and to stop eating when you are satisfied.
What can you eat and not eat?
Fruits and vegetables: focus on colorful fruits and vegetables with high fiber and eat less that are starchy such as potatoes and corn.
Fish, poultry, meat: focus on lean and skinless meat and eat seafood at least twice per week.
Whole grains: do you best to make half of your servings whole grains.
Dairy: focus on low fat and no fat.
Sweets: Chocolate, cake, and other sweets are allowed in moderation and only when you really want them.
Alcohol: keep your drinking in moderation, up to one drink per day for women and two drinks per day for men.
The success of this diet is based on moderation, balance and variety. This diet puts strong emphasis on positive thinking, joyful exercise, goals, and improving. Joyful exercise is stress reducing exercise that you enjoy.

It should help you to lose weight, depending on your desire.

Dr. Michelle May explains how to lose weight while still eating foods you love
Negatives:

Conclusion:
Eat What You Love is not really a diet, Dr. May has done her best to help you to change your lifestyle for the better. Improving your eating and exercise lifestyle and addressing some of the psychology behind this kind of lifestyle, is exactly what long term weight loss is all about. I give 'Eat What You Love, Love What You Eat' two thumbs up.

About 30 years ago, I and my family were in a serious flash flood. A dam broke from rainfall of over 6"in a matter of hours. The water rose about 4 feet ABOVE the height of the ceiling of our apartment.
Somehow, almost immediately, the public auditorium was set up as a shelter and filled with beds, linens, towels, clothes and more...thank you Salvation Army.
In addition, bags loaded with needed toiletries such as tooth paste, tooth brush, razors, shaving cream and so on were available to all of us who were suddenly displaced flood victims. Thank you Red Cross.
I am still appreciative for such kindness and still shocked at how response was so rapid. These two causes are the best!
