Military Diet Substitutes means following the Military Diet but allowing the swapping or substituting of foods. The substitutes are usually comparable in calories.
There are 17 swaps that you can make. It is suggested that you only make those swaps that you have to make...swap only foods that you hate or are allergic to or that you need to change to make the diet vegetarian, lactose free, or gluten free.
Most proponents of the Military Diet seem convinced that you should not make any substitutes, unless you have to.
Losing weight is based on substituting or swapping poor food choices with better ones. If you make substitutes, as long as you keep the calories about the same, your weight loss results should not change.
