The 17 Day Diet is a series of cycles.  

The first three cycles are 17 days each, the four and last cycle is the maintenance cycle.

Fast weight loss is promised, at the end of your first cycle, you should lose 10 to 12 pounds.

This diet starts out tough, but you do have flexibility in your food choices and it gets easier at each new cycle.
